It's not unusual for trailing presidential candidates to ratchet up the rhetoric as the election date nears.
But perhaps because of the unprecedented antagonism of Donald Trump's entire campaign, his home stretch is starting to feel like a fireworks finale of bombastic bluster.

He also reiterated vows made in the most recent debate to jail the democratic nominee should he win the presidency, a move which pundits have labelled historically undemocratic.
Speaking at a rally in New Hampshire Saturday morning, Trump referred to Jessica Leeds, who alleges Trump groped her on an airplane in the early 1980s, as "the crazy woman on the airplane." He previously implied he couldn't have assaulted Leeds because she is too unattractive.

But Trump's efforts to discredit his accusers have been complicated by the fact that he spent much of the preceding weeks propping up the victims of Bill Clinton's alleged sexual assaults.
Not that it matters to his core female supporters, many of whom say there is nothing Trump could do to dampen their enthusiasm for his candidacy.
But outside his most devoted following, Trump's popularity among women is cratering. The most recent poll from CNN and ORC showed that nearly 70 percent of women now view the Republican candidate unfavorably.
A total of 15 women have now spoken out about various alleged unsolicited advances in the wake of the Washington Post's release of a tape in which Trump himself seemingly brags about the acts the women are describing.
Their stories have dominated the news cycle this week as the Trump campaign scrambles to refute them.
After facing a wave of denouncements from within his own party last weekend as the fallout from the tape reverberated through the political establishment, Trump tweeted on Tuesday that the "shackles" supposedly restraining his behavior thus far had come off and suggested the remainder of his run would involve a scorched-earth assault on the Clinton camp.

He proceeded to spend the next few days proving wrong anyone who doubted his conduct could get any more unabashedly hostile and erratic than it had been.
