It's difficult to comprehend the number of logistical cogs that began turning after the death of Queen Elizabeth II on Sept. 8 this year.
Obviously there were the big things, like the Queen's funeral and King Charles III swearing his loyalty to Parliament and the Church — but the ripple effects are still running throughout the UK.

On Tuesday, the Bank of England unveiled the image of King Charles III that will replace the image of Queen Elizabeth II on new notes going forwards.
Per the Bank of England's announcement, existing notes featuring the Queen will still be fine to use, and new notes featuring King Charles III will only replace notes that are damaged.
The new notes are expected to be in circulation by the middle of 2024.
This isn't the first money featuring the new King to have been produced — 50p coins with a side profile of Charles are already doing the rounds.
