“Since ASML’s first lithography machine entered China in 1988, we have been in the Chinese market for over 30 years. Under the regulations and laws, we remain committed to conducting business in China,” ASML said on Tuesday, the opening day of the 7th China International Import Expo. Due to increased restrictions on advanced process technology, the company’s business in China is focused on the mature process technology used to produce mainstream chips, the Dutch tech giant added. This year marks the sixth time that ASML has participated in the China International Import Expo. At the event, ASML showcased three widely used deep ultraviolet (DUV) lithography machines—the NXT:1470, NXT:870, and XT:260—along with the eScan 1100 metrology tool. According to ASML’s third-quarter financial report, sales in mainland China accounted for 47% of the company’s global revenue for the quarter. [Guancha, in Chinese]
